Frequently asked questions

Find quick answers to frequent questions asked by fellow users

  • How to import an existing wallet?

To recover or import a wallet, go to the import feature under Add WalletImport Wallet. You can import using your seed phrase, private key, or keystore file. For seed phrases, enter your words in the correct order with spaces between each word.

    For example: clock boat sunshine

  • Why is my transaction pending for so long?

Transaction confirmation times depend on network congestion and the gas fee you've set. If your transaction is taking longer than expected, it might be due to low gas fees or network congestion. You can check your transaction status on blockchain explorers like Etherscan by searching for your transaction hash (ID). For faster transactions in the future, consider setting a higher gas fee, especially during periods of high network activity.

  • How to connect to dApps with WalletConnect?

To connect to decentralized applications (dApps) using WalletConnect:

    1. Open BNC Wallet and go to the "Browser" section

    2. Visit the dApp you want to connect to

    3. When the dApp requests a connection, click "Connect" or scan the QR code if connecting from desktop

    4. Review the connection request details and approve the connection

    5. You're now connected and can interact with the dApp

For security reasons, always verify the dApp URL and connection details before approving.

  • How to add custom tokens to my wallet?

To add a custom token that isn't automatically detected by BNC Wallet:

    1. Open the wallet where you want to add the token

    2. Go to the "Tokens" tab and tap the "+" or "Add" button

    3. Enter the token contract address (you can find this on blockchain explorers like Etherscan)

    4. The wallet will automatically fill in the token symbol and decimals if the contract is valid

    5. Tap "Save" or "Add" to complete the process

The custom token will now appear in your wallet with the correct balance. Always verify token contract addresses from official sources to avoid scams.
